About The Event

Ms. Archer will present a lecture on the history and characteristics of Ukrainian and Eastern European organ music following her concert at Lewis and Clark College the previous day, Friday, September 27, 2024 at 7:30pm in Agnes Flanagan Chapel. It will be held in the organ balcony of Agnes Flanagan Chapel at 10 am. The lecture will last for approximately one hour. Click here for more information about Friday's recital.

Gail Archer is an international concert organist, recording artist, choral conductor and lecturer. She serves as college organist at Vassar College, director of the music program at Barnard College, Columbia University, where she conducts the Barnard-Columbia Chorus and Chamber Singers and she is a faculty member of Harriman Institute, Columbia University. She is artistic director of the artist and young artist recital series at historic Central Synagogue, New York City.
