Evensong, Installation of Officers, Annual Meeting

The Portland AGO officers for the 2022-2023 year will be installed at Evensong with the full choir at Trinity

Cathedral, at 5 P.M. on Sunday, October 2. 

Come early to sing in the choir.  Rehearsal begins at 3:10 P.M. The choir will sing Katie Webb (Burk’s) setting of the preces and responses, the David Hogan Mt. St. Alban evening service, Herbert Howells’ “Hymn to St. Cecilia,” plus great hymns, capped off by Katie’s installation as Canon for Cathedral Music at Trinity. Bring your own black cassock and white surplice if you have vestments, or you can borrow one from Trinity. With limited rehearsal time, good sight-reading skills will be very helpful.

Following the service about 6 P.M. we’ll gather in the Morrison Room for the annual meeting, including a vote to approve our new Operating Procedures. 

After the meeting, dinner and drinks in NW Portland.
