American Guild of Organists : Portland, Oregon

We will be hosting a POE next summer! It has been confirmed that Portland will be the only city on the west coast to put on a Pipe Organ Encounter camp for youth in 2011, to be held July 10-14. Walter Krueger will be the camp coordinator, and he is looking for teachers and anyone who wants to help. There will be a separate website, piggy-backing off this one, that will give information about the camp as it becomes available; that site will be accessible from this page.

We are celebrating our 100th birthday this year and boy, are we celebrating! From a brand-new website to a
Pipe Organ Encounter camp to a whole year of concerts and workshops, we're sure you will be able to celebrate along with us.

The Portland, Oregon, Chapter encompasses organists, church music directors, and organ aficionados along the Columbia River and northern Willamette Valley in Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. Locales include (but are not limited to) Astoria, McMinnville, Scappoose, Wilsonville, Pendleton, Bend, and the greater Portland area, with a couple of dual-members coming from Salem. Membership in the Guild is done through local chapters, and you can find a registration form through the link at the left.
